Cultured History and
Audiovisual Memory.
Voyages and Arrivals.
Graciela Swiderski – Jorge Luis Farjat
In this work, the documental plane encircles image and conjugated text, to allow better perception of all the atmospheres referred to the trips and arrivals, especially the iconographic environments, completed in turn with the inquiry of human types corresponding to the manifestations of this migratory aspect of the thematic one, not only including all the classic registrations, but also the reproduction of original belonging to the authors’ collection and other few ones disclosed, materials that have been selected rigorously and summarized along several years of investigation, and they have also nurtured the audiovisual The Olds Inmigrants´Hotels and Memories of the Immigrants ‘ Hospital of Jorge Luis Farjat, other main sources of this work. The same as the audiovisual work in the one that is inspired, ignored here in the links of a Memory accompanying the present, this Cultured History develops intrinsically in its language in three juxtaposed planes: the documentary; concerning exclusively to the historical context – testimonial; the formal one that concerns to the purely aesthetic aspect; and a third sense, mating in the marrow of the second and radiated towards a psychological expression that replaces to the merely intellectual one, of the one that Jorge Luis Farjat establishes the limits in its Audiovisual Theory, and especially in Migrations and Survival.
